I am skeptical about whether it is possible to dissolve the opposition that sometimes leads to hatred, but it is the duty of all of us to preserve and strengthen what unites us - says László Kövér. They evaluated the results of the election and the referendum with the Speaker of the House at the Mandiner

We did not count on such a Fidesz victory, and neither did the opposition. says the Speaker. Although the measurement data of the penultimate week had already predicted it, out of caution we pushed aside the expectations in this direction, despite the fact that the simple majority could have significantly narrowed the government's room for maneuver in the years ahead, which promise to be confusing. It was possible to read from the statements, so-called analyses, of opposition politicians and their sympathizing journalists:

they were prepared to cast doubt on the purity of the election, and thus the legitimacy of the new government, after a relatively close result.

They wanted to keep domestic politics in a constant state of tension, which they would have multiplied through the pressure exerted by their external allies, forcing even the pre-arranged election, saying that the government could not adequately respond to the challenges.

Even if this had not been achieved, it would still have offered them a favorable starting position for the next election. One thing is certain, they would not have allowed the government to concentrate on maintaining the country's security for the next four years. There was only one way out of this situation that threatened our future: to win, but really! Jóisten added a little more to this, so we won again with two-thirds, and we even got more votes than in 2010, when we first received constitutional authorization.

The Speaker of the House said this about the elections: "We brought out of ourselves and the country as much as we could. This is also proven by the fact that - in addition to the economic indicators, the reduction of the risk of poverty or the increase in family allowances - the international weight of our country has increased to such an extent in the last ten or twelve years that in the Hungarian election, as Viktor Orbán put it, he faced the world Fidesz-KDNP."

It became important for various formal or even background powers to be able to remove this party alliance from the leadership of Hungary. In contrast, the opposition spoiled everything that could be spoiled. He had no agenda, denied everything, and consistently went against everything Fidesz-KDNP did. The hatred that emanated from everything he uttered was the goal, not the rationale, of his strategy.

Kövér said this about the left: he tried to drive the majority of society into civil war psychosis, going as far as the harshest, personal existential threats, so that the election would not be decided by the calm deliberation of the people. It went all the way to irrationality, and every citizen with sound judgment was surprised: what the opposition says has nothing to do with their experiences. The opposition did not lose its credibility because of the war or its attitude towards it, it only culminated the process of shrinking. One of the last, almost tragicomic moments of this was the demand to end energy imports from Russia

He commented on the child protection referendum as follows:

I'm sorry that a significant part of the people considered party affiliation more important and thought that if they voted invalidly, they would weaken Fidesz.

With this, in fact, those who may have agreed with us in terms of content weakened the possibility of protecting their own children and grandchildren.

But since all other tools are in the hands of the government, I think that as long as the civil side leads the country, there is no need to fear that gender madness will enter educational institutions. We don't let our children be mentally abused!

László Kövér emphasized: we think there is a fair and sustainable basis for agreement: respect for the homeland, national culture, traditional values, and the command to serve national interests and protect national sovereignty. Unfortunately, the politicians who identify themselves as left-wing or liberal, as well as the tellers who manipulate society, do not accept that

the true meaning of politics is the maintenance and strengthening of the national community.
