On Monday, 3,938 people entered the territory of Hungary on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border section, and 6,140 of those who entered the Romanian-Hungarian border section declared that they came from Ukraine, the ORFK told MTI on Tuesday.

Among those admitted, the police issued a temporary residence certificate to 485 people, which is valid for 30 days. They must visit the office of the National Directorate General of Immigration, which is competent according to their place of residence, to obtain the final documents.

They also touched on the fact that, before the war in Ukraine, 354 people, including 136 children, arrived in Budapest by train on Monday. Refugees arriving at the Kőbánya-felső railway station by special trains were taken to the BOK hall by buses. The cooperating authorities solved the accommodation and transport of 12 people, including 7 children, in accommodation facilities in the capital and in the countryside.

The Budapest Police Headquarters announced on Tuesday, on the police.hu website, that they are assisting refugees arriving by train from Ukraine at the Kőbánya-upper railway station and the BOK hall with the Emergency Police and police patrol training participants. The Budapest Civil Guard Association also provides support in the tasks.
