The government wants to help mothers in every possible way with social policy measures, the leader of the Christian Democratic People's Party (KDNP) said on Sunday.
In his statement commemorating Mother's Day, István Simicskó emphasized that becoming a mother and raising children entails a great deal of responsibility and sacrifice, "the burdens of which in our society women do not have to bear alone" .
He emphasized that the cabinet supports mothers with flexible working hours, family tax benefits, various subsidies for home-building, free textbooks and public meals that facilitate child-rearing, as well as tax exemptions for those raising more than four children.
The Christian Democrat politician said that "women's family-supporting and loving care is independent of ages and systems, and they can best fulfill this vocation if they themselves feel financially, physically and mentally safe".
"It is extremely important for us Christian Democrats that the attention and effort with which we, as Christian-conservative politicians, try to do everything for their prosperity is reflected in the fate of Hungarian families," explained István Simicskó.
He underlined that "a strong and proud nation does not exist without strong and proud families, and families are undoubtedly driven by mothers".
The leader of the KDNP faction reminded that in the past twelve years, the government has introduced measures affecting the entire family policy system, all of which serve the purpose of strengthening families.
István Simicskó concluded his statement, "Today, we think especially fondly of mothers, to whom we express our gratitude and devotion."
