With the cooperation of eight aid organizations, a charity event entitled Concert of Love will be held on May 22 at the Papp László Budapest Sports Arena. The ticket revenue of the evening will be used for the development of children's homes in Transcarpathia.

The most famous performers of the Hungarian music scene were invited to put their faith in peace and love in the war situation in Ukraine at a joint charity concert, the organizers told MTI on Wednesday.

Ágnes Herczku, Erika Miklósa, Andrea Rost, Gergely Bogányi, János Bródy, László Dés, András Lovasi, Nikola Parov, István Pál Szalonna, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, as well as young Russian and Ukrainian musicians studying in Hungary will perform at the Szeretet concert accompanied by the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra. in the Sports Arena.

The entire ticket revenue of the concert will be used to support the development of the Szent Mihály Children's Home in Rát and the Szolyva Children's Home in Transcarpathia.

They help create departments that provide a new home for children traumatized by the war and who have lost their parents.

In addition to fundraising, the event is a thank you to volunteers and supporters for their work in providing care for refugees in Ukraine.

The announcement highlighted that since the end of February, thousands and tens of thousands of volunteers and supporters have been working with the coordination of civil organizations to ensure that families from Ukraine who are forced to leave their homes due to the war situation receive adequate care.

Among the aid organizations organizing the Szeretet concert are the Baptist Charity Service, the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service, the Hungarian Reformed Charity Service, the Hungarian Red Cross, Migration Aid, the Hungarian Ecumenical Relief Society, the Catholic Charity and the Szent Ferenc Foundation in Déva.

Volunteers of the eight aid organizations can watch the performance free of charge, but anyone can participate in the concert by purchasing a supporter's ticket.

"All the performing artists enthusiastically accepted the invitation, they all feel the goals of the Szeret concert are their own. Now we can collectively thank the work of those who help others. With our music, we speak to the soul, and we also try to contribute to the healing of children's souls by collecting donations," quoted Ferenc Péter Ács, managing director of the Óbuda Danubia Orchestra and musical director of the concert, in the communique.
