announced his "transfer" to the Democratic Coalition on his Facebook page. Gyula Molnár was a member of parliament for Újbuda for five terms, and he led the district as mayor for two terms. Now he continues his politics in DK.
"I have made an important decision: I joined the Democratic Coalition.
I have been involved in Hungarian domestic politics since the regime change. I was a member of parliament for Újbuda for five terms, I led my beloved district as mayor for two terms, and there was a time when I had to act as president of the MSZP. A thousand things can change in politics, but one thing is constant: there is no successful politician without a successful political community. And if the test of pudding is eating, then the test of community is working together. In recent months, we have worked together a lot with DK, and now there is no question that I want to belong to the DK community.
Because of this, I will still be who I was, and I will do my job as before."
