At the request of the prosecution, the witness Péter Tasnádi was confronted with Tamas Gyárfás, but this did not lead to a result at the Capital Court, where the criminal trial aimed at clarifying the Fenyő murder continued yesterday.

The Metropolitan Court held another hearing on Tuesday in the criminal trial of Tamás Gyárfás and Tamás Portik, accused of incitement in the Fenyő murder case. Péter Tasnádi, known as the godfather, was heard as a witness . The known mobster has so far spent a total of sixteen years in prison for various crimes. According to the indictment, Gyárfás first commissioned Tasnádi to kill the head of the Vico empire, János Fenyő , which the godfather did not carry out. , Tamás Gyárfás , the owner of Nap TV, then commissioned Based on the DNA test, Rohác carried out the murder on February 11, 1998.

Tasnádi's hearing as a witness was hindered by the fact that, at the motion of the second defendant, Tamás Portik , the court first wanted to clarify when the godfather was in Hungary, since he also claimed that he was in the United States at the time of the murder. Moreover, when he found out that it had happened, he called Gyárfás to ask for the six million HUF, which he thought was still due to him after the six million advance payment. Before Tasnádi entered the courtroom, he shook hands with Gyárfás and handed him his recently published book, he also dedicated it to Gyárfás, allegedly writing: "I want you to clear yourself from this impossible case."

Tasnádi, who no longer remembered many details, maintained his earlier testimony, incriminating Gyárfás, and on Tuesday he also said that Gyárfás contacted him in September 1997, who asked him at their meeting whether it would be possible to resolve the liquidation of Fenyő, which he agreed to for twelve million forints and he agreed for the six million forint advance.

He also told the police earlier that it is true that he received an order from Gyárfás, but he did not carry it out. So he also tricked Gyárfás. He never killed or was killed by anyone, he is not a murderer, but he made Gyárfás believe that he could "pull him off". To the prosecutor's question, Tasnádi said that Lajos Kovács, the investigator in the Fenyő murder case, visited him several times and wanted to persuade him to testify against Gyárfás.

Tasnádi stated that it was incomprehensible to him that if the authorities had already learned in 1997 that something was being planned against Fenyő, why they did not provide him with protection. Tasnádi - just like in March 2013, when he was confronted with Gyárfás - also said at the current trial that he thought Gyárfás had nothing to do with the murder. He judged that Gyárfás - even though he paid him - did not take his assignment seriously.

In response to what the witness said, Gyárfás told the court that after his confrontation with Tasnádi in 2013, the police no longer wanted to hear him, just as the court did not in 2016 when it discussed the Fenyő case. According to Gyárfás, all this could have happened because he could not support Tasnádi's assignment with a single piece of evidence, since those who testified against him could only hear from Tasnádi what they said and what they added did not correspond to reality.
