The right of veto is completely incomprehensible, as the decisions of Europe's leaders require unanimity, the Hungarian Prime Minister stated the other day.

Therefore, it is completely incomprehensible that some members of the EU parliament are petitioning against the right of veto. Just a few well-known names suffering from Orbán phobia: Daniel Freund, Guy Verhofstadt, Sven Simon, Spinelli Group chairman, Domenec Ruiz Devesa. The signature collection was published with a photo of Viktor Orbán.

"The veto is not democratic. This prevents Europe from acting unitedly. This has very specific negative effects for all of us.

This must be stopped!" - this is stated in the call, in which members of the European Parliament are encouraged to sign the petition against the possibility of an EU veto, to which the Hungarian Prime Minister's vetoes - blocking EU sanctions against Russia - are given as an example. The title of the petition: "Let's stop Orbán's blackmail against the EU!"

They point out that the Polish-Hungarian axis supports each other in the veto policy, the Poles are blocking the introduction of the minimum tax, and Orbán is directly Putin and China's man, who was turned around by them and is now firing at the Union!

The European Union is a community of interests where everyone has to find their calculations. Democratic negotiations must continue until this is achieved. Of course, it would be simpler to have a federalist dictatorship where such verhofstadts make decisions that apply to everyone.

For Viktor Orbán, Hungary is first. And democracy has a chance in Europe as long as there is a win-win alliance and not a United States of Europe.
