Like several other world organizations, the International Football Association (FIFA) is also reviewing its transgender rules.

A FIFA spokesperson announced on Tuesday that expert consultations are taking place, during which the International Olympic Committee's study published in November will also be taken into account.

- added the FIFA official.

The water sports association, FINA, announced in Budapest on Sunday that transgender competitors cannot compete in women's disciplines, and then the IRL, which governs rugby, made a similar decision. Last week, the UCI, which unites cycling, defined a lower testosterone level than before as a condition for participation. The president of the International Athletics Federation (WA), Sebastian Coe, said there is a chance that FINA's policy will be followed, and the WA council will decide on this during the year.
