According to them, admitting that someone likes boys as a man is as big a challenge as admitting that even though he is over thirty years old, he still can't ride a bike.

The largest cycling NGO in Hungary, the Magyar Kerékpárosklub, launched a rainbow campaign. As the hot summer approaches, cyclists are less concerned with bicycle paths and the expansion of drinking water options, and more with gender issues: they see that it is time to support Budapest Pride, which has a dubious reputation.

The organization recently shared a post with the hashtag #budapestpride on their social media page (they have 51,000 followers on Facebook at the time of writing), the illustration of which is a rainbow bicycle lane. Similar bicycle lanes were previously provided in several large European cities, such as Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris and London.

Critics are now warning that, as the Hungarian public has also experienced,

in many cases, the LGBTQ lobby uses sports, even mass sports, as a tool to spread its messages. Hungarian family advocates fear that each similar post contributes to general sensitization and supports efforts to deconstruct the institution of the family.

Still others warn that even in Ireland, which has strong Christian roots, it was possible to completely reverse the attitude of society in a short time, which was also served in many cases by civil organizations specializing in sports or a healthy lifestyle. As part of a signature collection launched online, eight thousand people have now expressed their displeasure with bicycle sensitization.

Mandiner also contacted the Hungarian Cycling Club in the matter. Among other things, they were interested in

why they felt the need to stand behind and support a divisive lobby as an organization promoting mass sports.

They asked whether they thought it was a good idea to post this post on their social media page, and whether they planned to withdraw the post.

They were also asked what kind of posts they published and plan to publish to promote the traditional family model. The organization did not respond to our official inquiry.
