Pensioners can count on an average of HUF 52,000 extra money in July. Those who requested the transfer to a bank account will already receive their July pension on July 12, as well as the increase due after eight months of pension, András Tállai, the parliamentary secretary of the Ministry of Finance, informed MTI.

With the additional increase, the state treasury will pay a total of HUF 184 billion in additional money to around 2.5 million pensioners. Two transfers will be sent to the bank account, the first is the July pension, which was increased by 3.9 percent, while the second includes the amount of the retroactive increase for the January-June six-month period and the difference of the 13th month pension, in one sum, he explained.

For those who receive their pension by post, the postman will bring the pension increased by the additional increase and the retroactive correction on the usual calendar day, said the state secretary. In the case of postal payments, the amount of the two payments can be seen on the voucher, he noted.

"The government, as every year, guarantees the inflation-adjusted pension increase this year," emphasized András Tállai. He reminded that after the 5 percent pension increase in January, due to wartime inflation, the mid-year pension supplement will arrive in July this year.

And the government will be able to decide on another pension adjustment in the autumn - knowing the level of expected annual inflation - he explained, adding, "in addition to all this, we will provide the 13th monthly pension next year to protect the elderly".
