Balázs Orbán, political director of the prime minister, took part in a workshop in Tusványos, the topic of which was the new conservatism. He shared some thoughts about the conversation on his social media page.

" We participated in an exciting round table discussion with Diederik Boomsma , the head of the Amsterdam foundation of the Dutch Christian Democratic Consolidation, Patrick Bracy Bersnak an American political scientist, and John O'Sullivan the term "new" is really appropriate, because there conservatives are trying to define themselves in the world after Reagan and Thatcher conservatism.

However, we Hungarians have understood the same thing by the term since the 19th century. The national interest is at the center of this worldview.

Roger Scruton , a friend of Hungary, who aptly stated that conservatism is "rather a kind of instinct than an idea". We Hungarians can agree with this."
