Sebastian Coe, president of the International Association of Athletics Federations (WA), expects Hungary to host the best World Championships ever in 2023, as they aim to make each of their world events better than the last.

The British sports leader spoke about this in an interview with M4 Sport at the World Cup in Eugene, which runs until Sunday.

Sebastian Coe, the two-time Olympic champion in the 1,500-meter flat track, mentioned that although he had never competed in Hungary, he had been to the country many times, and in June it was a great experience for him that he could run the first meters of the new, still-under-construction National Athletics Championships together with young athletes. "We expect Hungary to host the best World Cup of all time in 2023. We are like athletes, next time we want to be better than now, our goal is to make every world event better than the last one. And Budapest has the conditions for this: the organizing committee is great, there is political support, and the stadium will look fantastic." - said the head of WA.

Sebastian Coe believes that Hungarian fans really love sports and understand the essence of athletics.

Regarding the current event in Oregon, he emphasized that it is also very important from the point of view of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, as they want to use the experiences and results of the World Cup to fill athletics in the United States with new energy. To this end, they want to organize more competitions overseas in the next six years.
