Member of Parliament János Halász, the main patron of the event, and Márk Kis Domonkos, director of the Déryné Program and the festival, also announced that the work will continue next year and that they will return to the Capital of Zemplén.

At the second Déryné Festival, which ended recently, more than fifty free programs awaited those interested over five days. 4,000 spectators took part in the events held at ten different locations.

The performers included, among others, the Csík Orchestra, Balázs Szabó and his Band, György Ferenczi and the 1ső Pesti Rackák, Urban Verbunk with its spectacular dance show Rózsa Story, and theater lovers could meet the artists of the Arad Chamber Theater in addition to the Déryné Társulat's own performances. with the CSAVAR Theater and the Mancsi Puppet Theater of Fabók.

"For decades, I have been a supporter of the mission that was finally fully realized with the establishment of the Déryné Program two years ago: Theater for all! That is why it is a particular pleasure for me that in 2022 I was the main patron of the Déryné Festival for the second time, which once again invigorated the cultural life of Sátoraljaújhely and its surroundings for five wonderful days. I'm already excitedly waiting to see what programs Márk Kis Domonkos and the organizers are preparing for next year, since it is certain that they will return next year as well!" - emphasized János Halász, member of parliament, main patron of the Déryné Festival.

"The second Déryné Festival exceeded all our expectations, if possible, the atmosphere was even more fantastic than last year! We are proud that this year we were able to present the audience with an even more colorful and richer program. Our goal is to surpass ourselves again next year, because it is already certain that there will be Déryné Festival in Sátoraljaújhely in 2023!" - said Márk Kis Domonkos, the director of the Déryné Program and the festival that brought the event to life.

The varied programs once again appealed to all age groups: the children could take part in an interactive Petőfi competition, and they were also treated to a puppet show, storytellers, artist and instrument demonstrations, while the adults were entertained by high-quality concerts and theater performances in beautiful locations such as the Hungarian Language Museum in Széphal and its garden, the Ungvár Borterasz, the Völgyszínház or even the Zsólyomkai Cellars.

"With my grandchildren, family, friends, and colleagues, I was able to visit such rich and high-quality programs during the second Déryné Festival at home, in the capital of Zemplén, of which I am justifiably proud. I don't know how to thank the sponsors, the organizers, the performers, and the staff in the city's institutions enough times, because without teamwork it wouldn't have been such a great success. The city of festivals is also waiting for the Déryné Program in 2023! Until we meet again soon, allow me to greet you with a scout battle cry: "Thank you! Thank You! Thank you very much!" - said Péter Szamosvölgyi, mayor of Sátoraljaújhely.
