After a gap of two years, the people of Csíkszereda celebrate the city day again. During the community event taking place between August 3-7, those interested can visit the usual events and family programs of previous years, for example the very popular Piyókafestival on Saturday in the central park. (Pityoka is the Székely name for potato.)

In the central park on Saturday, more than 30 teams will present their pitioka cooking science. As we learned from the organizer Laura Sárkány, mostly returning teams will be present at the event again this year, but there will also be those who will participate for the first time. Although the application deadline has closed, if there are still teams that would like to enter, they will also be accepted. Again this year, a three-member jury will evaluate the pitókás dishes, and cash prizes and audience prizes will be awarded to the best. During the raffle, the audience can vote for the best team, the proceeds from the raffle will be donated to the Authelp Association in Csikszereda again this year.
