The gallop presented by the Martonvásár Szent László Huszáregyesület received the "most creative fan activity" award at the Giro d'Italia road cycling race, which was awarded by the Italian rights holders of the competition and the experts of the National Sports Agency for the production presented at the opening stage of the event in Hungary.

The award ceremony took place in Martonvásár on Tuesday, A Martonvásár Városi Közzolgáltató NKft. According to the statement of the MartonKult office operating within the framework of the production, the intention of the Fejér county settlement was to spread the good name of not only Martonvásár, but the whole of Hungary in the world and to convey a positive image of the country.

According to the announcement, the gallop was rehearsed several times before the event, in addition to the five riders, three other members of the hussar association helped the production to be properly realized on the spot. A short film was also made about the gallop, which they intend to use later for event and city marketing purposes.

"The success of the short film about the hussar march dominated the social media platforms on the day of the event and in the period after it and brought unanimous recognition to Martonvásár and the hussar association," the announcement states. "We believe that the event is unique and unrepeatable in its form, and whoever saw it will remember it".

The first three stages of this year's Giro d'Italia were organized in Hungary, after the Budapest-Visegrád opening stage, the field completed a capital time trial and then the Kaposvár-Balatonfüred route.
