A new mode of cooperation that also takes differences of opinion into account could be developed in the Visegrád group (V4) and in Polish-Hungarian relations where our countries are connected by values ​​and interests, stated Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an excerpt of an interview published today. the attitude towards the war in Ukraine was indeed divisive, the Sieci on Monday and published on the Wpolityce.pl news portal on Sunday

 He added that in time, "all the other matters in which we have had solidarity, understanding and mutual support for each other will bring us together strongly again." "We all know that the cooperation within the V4 significantly strengthens our countries," he said, adding: in any case, the sum of one plus one plus one plus one is not four, but seven or eight.

 That is why the V4 remained even when the member countries had different governments, sometimes very different from each other, he recalled. In response to the question of whether the Visegrád meetings could return, Morawiecki announced: he would like to try to develop a solution within the framework of which, clearly naming the differences and respecting the sensitivities of our Ukrainian friends, we could return to cooperation within the V4 and joint action with Hungary also in the areas where values ​​and interests unite us.

 The prime minister trusted the development of such a platform for mutual understanding. He saw that the Poles are also more ready today than they were in March or April. The heads of government of the V4 met for the last time during the Hungarian presidency of the group of countries, on March 8, in London, in an expanded format with the United Kingdom.
