After the decrease experienced in previous weeks, a slight increase can again be observed in the national average concentration of the SARS-CoV-2 genetic material measured in wastewater.

Among the individual cities, a rising trend can be seen in the joint sample of the examined agglomeration settlements around Budapest (Tököl, Biatorbágy, Szigetszentmiklós, Budakeszi, Százhalombatta), as well as in Debrecen, Győr, Szeged, Szolnok, Szombathely and Zalaegerszeg. Most of the sampling locations are characterized by a stagnant trend, while a decrease was measured in two cities - Kaposvár and Nyíregyháza. The concentration of the SARS-CoV-2 genetic material in the sewage is in the elevated category in 19 sampling locations, while in 3 cities it is in the moderate category.

In Hungary, the epidemic is currently moderate, which is also due to the high vaccination rate, the number of active infected people has further decreased compared to the past few weeks. The virus continues to pose the greatest threat to the unvaccinated, which is why experts continue to ask them to get vaccinated. The booster vaccination is recommended for everyone who received the previous vaccination more than 4 months ago. The government continues to ensure the possibility of vaccination. Vaccination can still be requested from the family doctor or family pediatrician, as well as picked up at hospital vaccination points, where you can go on Fridays with or without an appointment.

The government and the Operative Tribe continue to continuously analyze the epidemic situation and take additional measures if necessary.
