In recent weeks, it has become clear that the opposition has still not been able to get back on its feet since April 3rd and is still not on top of the situation. The left has accumulated failure after failure in the recent municipal elections. This was Budapest III. district on Sunday, September 4.

This region cannot be said to be a right-wing stronghold, Tímea Szabó also campaigned alongside the opposition candidate, but that was not enough either. The Fidesz-KDNP candidate, Júlia Csikósné Mányi, won the vote. On the same day, the right-wing candidate won a victory in Pence, and on September 11th came another opposition fiasco: with the victory of Csilla Fazekas, the left lost its majority in the first district.

It seems that the left is really at the bottom of the pit, after a series of interim failures, it is so demoralized that they hardly have activists anymore, so now they would let students do the agitation work.

Mandiner came into possession of a correspondence, which shows that the left-wing parties in World War II. in the by-election to be held on October 2nd in the district, people would be recruited for political campaign work through a school cooperative.

Apart from Jobbik, all the parties of the opposition alliance can be found among the employers of the young people applying.

"Knocking in the polling station, addressing voters about coming to vote on October 2" - this would be the task of the students who, seeing the "excellent hourly wage" - a net salary of HUF 2,000 per hour - would submit their application for the job.

The letter clearly shows that there are really serious problems around the house of the opposition parties, it seems that they don't even have enough activists to cover an individual municipal constituency.

"We need more students, so feel free to bring a friend, you can work together or in pairs," the letter reads. In addition to these, the left-wing parties promise future activists a flexible schedule: "There are no specific working hours, we can absolutely adjust this to the timetable, and you can come all the way through next week."

In the matter, the paper also contacted the left-wing candidate, Eszter Nagy, who is running in the interim, who stated in connection with the letter that he knew nothing of such a thing. According to his claim, they were the first to hear about the case.

Even so, the stakes in II. district, that regardless of the result, the majority of the left-liberals will remain in the representative body. And not only because of political prestige aspects, but primarily because the residents will give their opinion at the beginning of October on whether they agree with the work of the new leadership, or whether they will judge whether the district has developed more under Fidesz's management until 2019 .
