János Havasi: To whom he gave two homelands... Conversations with wartime Polish refugees for the presentation of his book.

Venue: the conference room of the National Remembrance Committee (1088 Budapest, Vas u. 10.)

Date: September 22, 2022 (Thursday), 5:30 p.m

Áron Máthé, deputy president of the NEB, talks to the author of the volume.

János Havasi talked with Polish refugees from the Second World War back in the seventies and eighties, and after the manuscript rested in a desk drawer for nearly 40 years, it has now been turned into a great book. The volume presents the life stories of ten Polish refugees - two women and eight men - to the reader. The interviews were conducted by the author between 1979 and 1982 in trans-Danubian villages and towns.
