According to the Prime Minister, a protracted war should be expected.
The war between Ukraine and Russia is no longer local, the sanctions have turned it into a global economic war - Viktor Orbán said at the Fidesz-KDNP faction meeting in Balatonalmádi, where he asked the members of his faction to do everything they can to ensure that Europe is at the end of the year at the latest withdraw the sanctions.
According to the newspaper's information, the Prime Minister spoke about the following: it is now clear to everyone that we must expect a protracted war, we must prepare for the fact that this war will continue in our neighborhood this year and next. According to the Prime Minister, this is why security and the protection of economic and national sovereignty have become a more important issue for Hungary than ever before, which is why a national defense fund was created. The soldiers were withdrawn from the protection of the borders, the border hunting units were created - the Prime Minister listed, emphasizing that
more soldiers are needed and they must prepare to defend the country.
According to Viktor Orbán's assessment, the war worries people, they follow its events, but what directly affects families is currently inflation, the paper wrote. They added: the prime minister clarified: before the elections, they thought that the economic conditions would develop in a predictable manner despite the war, however, in June 2022, economic and trade sanctions were accepted in Brussels, including the oil transport sanctions, and then the natural gas purchase sanction was also on the table. therefore, starting in June 2022, the price of natural gas doubled in one month and then tripled in another month.
According to Magyar Nemzet's report, the prime minister emphasized that if the sanctions were lifted, prices would immediately be halved and so would inflation. Without the sanctions, Europe's economy would regain strength and avoid the looming recession. According to the party chairman, when these sanctions were imposed on Europe in Brussels at the beginning of the summer, the EU bureaucrats did not promise this, but that they would hurt Russia, not the European people. Since then, it has become clear that the introduced sanctions cause more damage to Europe than to Russia, the newspaper quoted the Prime Minister as saying.
According to information from the Magyar Nemzet, there will be a meaningful political opportunity to review the sanctions in November, so he called on the faction's members to do everything they can to ensure that Europe withdraws these sanctions by the end of the year at the latest.
Gyurcsány, shadow government, Soros
According to the Prime Minister's assessment of the situation, the sanctions are imposed on Europe by Brussels bureaucrats, and the sanctions are the cause of economic problems, the energy crisis and inflation. And the sanctions are supported by the Hungarian left, wrote the paper, which also quoted the prime minister as saying in relation to the opposition that, as already pointed out in the election campaign, the Gyurcsány era and its representatives, who once destroyed it, want to return Hungary. At these words of the prime minister, according to the newspaper, people snored at the same time, some even shouted that
"Never again Gyurcsány!"
With the establishment of the Gyurcsány-Dobrev shadow government, the Prime Minister continued, the Brussels bureaucrats and the Soros-NGOs want to bring this shadow government to power. In his opinion, this is also clear from the fact that they pay them, they did this in the election campaign and they are doing this now, the paper quoted Viktor Orbán.
Energy crisis, overtaking in a corner
After evaluating the left, according to the Magyar Nemzet report, the party president formulated the future task of the Fidesz-KDNP: they must ensure the energy supply, protect families and workplaces. Families will be protected by the reduced utility price, firewood program and brown coal program, while businesses will be helped with three things: a program of more than two hundred billion to help energy-intensive small and medium-sized enterprises, production companies will be supported by partly assuming their energy costs and supporting investments that result in energy savings, they will have a factory rescue program, and there will also be a new job protection action plan for the service sector.
At the end of his speech, the Prime Minister stated: Hungary's energy supply is secured. There will be enough natural gas, electricity and crude oil. "The sanctions are causing serious damage to the country, but with hard work, there is a chance that Hungary will emerge from this crisis as the country that can overtake it around the corner!" Hungarian Nation quoted the prime minister.
