Ferenc Gyurcsány took over the leadership of the DK in Budapest a year and a half before the municipal elections, who also declared: "we will sell the Apró villa within a year".

Even the first fifty minutes of Partizán's interview with Gyurcsány brought exciting and strong sentences, but the best came only after that.

It all started with the suggestion of Márton Gulyás, who asked about information that Gyurcsány had taken over the presidency of the DK in Budapest. As it turned out, the information was true, the previous president, Norbert Trippon, "went back" to Újpest, where he has mayoral ambitions.

Since Gyurcsány's presidency in the capital can be linked to the 2024 elections, Gyurcsány was asked whether the DK will support Gergely Karácsony in the municipal elections due in two years.

"It is not a given that we support it," declared Gyurcsány. When asked why this is, Gyurcsány said that " what I would say to you would not be good for him. If it is not good for him, it is not good for the opposition".

It turned out later: he had talked about this topic with Kárácson a few weeks ago, and told him his reservations. However, he stated that he did not set conditions because he is not in that position.

"Gergely Kárácsony is the former president of a rather small party. It belongs to such a small party that it will not have a decisive majority in the next capital assembly. These are important stories. Who determines what we want to do with the capital, and in what way and with what background?" - Gyurcsány continued to twist the knife in the mayor.

" The mayor is the highest elected official under public law. The mayor leads the city of freedom against arbitrariness. Does the mayor make good use of this opportunity to organize a political community against the arbitrary government or not? Gyurcsány continued.

The mayor's job is to renovate Blaha Lujza Square and create a bicycle lane on Üllői út, or it is his job to organize the community of the freest Hungarian city against arbitrariness. This is the dilemma. I am of the position that this is a serious political opportunity and responsibility ”.

"What Gergely Karácsony did not live up to satisfactorily in your opinion?" came the reporter's question. "You already said that," answered Gyurcsány.

The last part of the conversation also held surprises. In response to a question, Ferenc Gyurcsány said that they intend to sell the Apró villa within a year. According to him, not because of the attacks, but because the three of us are staying there.

" Klára, Marci and I, and Klára also spends half of her time in Brussels. Well, we're hanging out in that huge big house, what the hell are we doing there?" Gyurcsány explained.

2022 plus:

This last sentence is just as hypocritical a lie as we have been hearing almost every day from the fallen prime minister for about 20 years. In fact, it is about the fact that a villa seized from a Jew was mentioned by the right as a "prime crime" so many times that the Apró-klan thinks that by selling it and moving elsewhere, they can prevent further attacks. They are wrong.
