Right after Ursula von der Leyen concluded the EU vaccine contracts suspected of corruption, the husband of the president of the European Commission became the medical director of Orgenesis, a company closely related to Pfizer. After the emergence of Heiko von der Leyen, millions of euros began pouring into the healthcare company in a way that is difficult to explain.

Corruption scandals surrounding Ursula von der Leyen's family are coming to light one after the other, and the husband of the President of the European Commission may also be involved in the dubious cases. (You could say: the whole family is involved in dubious matters, since one of Ursula von der Leyen's sons received a suspicious consulting contract.)

At the American company Orgenesis, there were several incidents indicating violations of the law after Heiko von der Leyen appeared at the company. The internist was a member of Orgenesis' scientific advisory board from 2019, then unexpectedly became medical director in December 2020. The company, which was launched in 2013, began to achieve its hard-to-explain successes at the same time as the husband of the committee chairman arrived.

From 2013 to December 2018, the company posted roughly $8 million in annual revenue, but since then that figure has jumped to $27 million. In addition, they cashed in a sum of one hundred million dollars from the sale of a subsidiary company.

Orgenesis also received fairly generous funds from the EU and EU member states following the appearance of Heiko von der Leyen.

For example, on November 29 of last year, Orgenesis and Theracell Advanced Biotechnology SA received a 32 million euro grant from the Greek government as a joint venture. The benefit was labeled as a national strategic interest. And in May of this year, another Orgenesis consortium - which was established with a company registered in the Netherlands - won a 4 million euro grant in a program of the European Innovation Council.

Heiko von der Leyen became the medical director of Orgenesis a month after his wife signed the ominous EU vaccine procurement contracts with Pfizer and Germany's BioNTech

All of this is rather strange because Orgenesis has not started a single clinical study until September 2022. However, it is difficult for serious players in the industry to save on these costly investments. Orgenesis is also known to have close ties to Pfizer and both companies are based in New York State. Their scope of activity is also similar: Orgenesis deals with cell and gene therapy, and Pfizer's vaccine also works on this principle.

Notably, Heiko von der Leyen became Orgenesis Medical Director just one month after his wife signed the ominous EU vaccine procurement contracts with Pfizer and Germany's BioNTech between August and November 2020.

As we wrote earlier, the American and German companies were able to obtain an extra profit of 25 billion euros by brutally overpricing the vaccines, according to contracts with a vague background, partly negotiated in text messages. The case is currently also being investigated in Brussels.
