The number of vaccinated persons is 6,418,810, of which 6,205,327 persons received the second, 3,898,566 persons received the third, and 357,678 persons received the fourth vaccination. In the past week, a total of 11,947 new infected people were confirmed, increasing the total number of identified infected people to 2,132,490 since the beginning of the epidemic. Most of the 118 people who died in the past week were old, chronic patients, so the number of people who died rose to 47,798. The number of recovered people is constantly increasing, currently 2,049,649 people, and the number of active infected people has decreased to 35,043 people. Currently, 1,597 coronavirus patients are being treated in hospital, 18 of them are on ventilators.
In Hungary, the epidemic is currently moderate, which is also due to the high level of vaccination. The virus continues to pose the greatest threat to the unvaccinated, which is why they are still being asked to get vaccinated. The booster vaccination is recommended for everyone who received the previous vaccination more than 4 months ago. The government continues to ensure the possibility of vaccination. Vaccination can still be requested from the family doctor or family pediatrician, as well as picked up at hospital vaccination points, where you can go on Fridays with or without an appointment.
The booster vaccination with the new type of Pfizer vaccine against Omicron can now be taken. The vaccine has received an EU license for single-dose and booster vaccination only. The confirmatory vaccination can also be taken on Friday vaccination days without an appointment.
The government and the Operative Tribe continue to continuously analyze the epidemic situation and take additional measures if necessary.
