Péter Márki-Zay, the opposition's former candidate for prime minister, spoke on ATV's Ejenes beszéd show that there is American money in the one million forints per person offered by the Mendiki Magyarországa Mozgalom to the dismissed teachers, reports ATV. They recalled that at the end of the summer, Péter Márki-Zay had already spoken about the money received from America by his movement, the MMM, and then repeated the same several times.

Fidesz representative Péter Hoppál already suggested that the participants of the Budapest teachers' demonstration at the weekend protested with American money, to which Péter Márki-Zay said: there is no American money in the demonstration. At the same time, to the question of whether there is US money in the one million forints each offered by his movement to the teachers dismissed from their jobs, Péter Márki-Zay responded by saying: there is US money in it, Péter Hoppál could have thought of that.

He added: "the budget of the Everyone's Hungary Movement is like a tub, into which a total of 2.5 billion forints flowed, partly from membership fees and partly from money received from Action for Democracy. It is difficult to say how much of the money offered to teachers came from which source."

Péter Márki-Zay emphasized that they last received money from America in June, although he still wants it now. He believes that accepting money from the West is not a sin.

They want to live in a state of law and freedom, it is worthy if this is supported by the West as well, he stated.
