When Brussels "announces the news of another sanctions package" or announces another package, the price of energy immediately jumps on the news, said István Hollik, Fidesz's communications director, in his video statement on Friday.
The politician explained: more and more Europeans see that Europe is rushing to ruin with the sanctions, but "unfortunately, they do not want to perceive this reality in Brussels".
He said: the news appeared in the press that the European Union is already preparing another sanctions package, and the news alone has already raised the price of gas by 30 percent in recent days.
He believed that it was already possible to experience that "when Brussels announces a new package of sanctions" or announces a new package, the price of energy jumps immediately upon the news.
According to István Hollik, "even though the pro-sanctions left tries in vain to deny that the price of gas is driven up by the sanctions, this is indeed the case". It has now become clear that the sanctions are causing serious damage to Europe, and in order to prevent the European and Hungarian economy from collapsing, the flawed sanctions policy must be abandoned as soon as possible, he stated.
He emphasized: that is why it is important to send a strong message to Brussels with the national consultation that the sanctions policy must be changed.
