What does 1956 mean to me?
Creative competition for primary and secondary school students
with title.
The goal of the Hungarian Countryside National 56 Organization is to carry on the spirit of 1956 and cherish the memory of the 56 heroes. We believe that the introduction of our national past, the education of patriotism, takes place not only within the walls of our institutions and public spaces, but also in homes.
The range and categories of applicants:
– Senior primary school student
– Secondary school student
Procedure of the application:
1. Read! Talk! Get inspired by the 1956 revolution and freedom struggle! Do you know someone who personally experienced the events of the revolution? Is it one of your grandparents or a friend? Feel free to ask! Do you like to read? There are countless works of fiction that deal with this topic. We are also sure that the teachers also have a lot of information about this event. Talk about 56!
2. Create!
Could you write what 56 was like for you? Would you share with others what your grandparents and great-grandparents went through? Would you write a poem? Would you tell it in a drawing, or would you rather paint a picture of the events? Do you feel that a photo or video would best express what you think of 56? Whatever technique you choose - short story, poem, fairy tale, drawing, painting, collage technique, digital drawing, photo, video, etc. - feel free to apply! We look forward to your work!

Written assignments can be written by hand or by type. Please send handwritten applications and works made with other techniques to the e-mail address [email protected]

In each category - upper elementary school, high school - we announce three prize winners from among the creators of the works deemed the best by the jury.

DETAILS ABOUT TENDER

3 . TENDER PROCEDURE :
Upper school and high school students can participate the competition , regardless of nationality or place of residence .
Considering that most of the applicants are incapacitated, their legal representative acts in their place. In some cases, the applicant - upon reaching the age of 14 , if he is not incapacitated - may also have limited legal capacity. In this case, your statement is subject to the consent of your legal representative. (hereinafter: Applicant)
In the tender, the organizers, as well as the leading officials of the persons and companies participating in the preparation and execution of the tender on behalf of 56th Hungarian Rural National Organization as well as these persons Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (hereinafter: Civil Code ) 8 :1 . § (1) paragraph 1. his close relatives as defined in point 1 .
An Applicant can start the one project . the application, the applicant must be stated , as well as the category in which they are participating in the application.

By submitting the entry, the Applicant acknowledges that he has fully familiarized himself with these regulations and accepts them unconditionally.
If the Applicant does not accept these participation regulations or any of its provisions, an objection in relation to them, he is not entitled to participate in the competition, or he will be automatically excluded from the competition.
By submitting the entry, the Applicant acknowledges that it has the appropriate rights.

The tender is conducted and participation in it is carried out in accordance with these regulations. If the regulations do not regulate an issue , the relevant provisions of the current legislation must be applied.

Applications will be judged by a three-member jury 202 2 . December 6 – án.

5. ACCEPTANCE OF THE PRIZE :
The winner must contact the Organizer regarding receiving the prize within 15 days of receiving the notification . If the winner does not comply with this obligation, or if delivery of the notification fails within 30 days of its sending (for technical or other reasons beyond the Organizer's control), or if the winner does not meet the conditions set out in these regulations, applicant is considered invalid and
the reserve winner's prize claim becomes effective. is disqualified for any reason according to these Regulations electronically within 15 calendar days . The prize winner is subject to the same rules as the winner in formal, personal and other aspects.
6. DATA HANDLING :

7. GENERAL CONDITIONS :
The Organizer reserves the right to cancel or suspend competition for unforeseen reasons. The Organizer excludes all claims for compensation for damages resulting from or related to participation in the tender , possible errors and shortcomings of the tender , delays that occurred during tender . If the winner limited capacity to act, only the prize and to receiving the prize
together with his legal representative. If the winner is incapacitated, only his legal representative can act on his behalf.
