Although we may feel that there is nothing to give in the hopeless and difficult financial situation, the St. Martin's Day charity dinner is held in Mátraverebély-Szentkút. According to the Franciscan leader of the national shrine, Father Lóránt Orosz, in a crisis we can even more realize that God can write straight even with crooked lines and bring good out of even the greatest evil.

On All Saints' Day and the Day of the Dead, everyone takes stock and assesses what are the really important things in life. We are afraid of death because we have to leave all earthly goods, our loved ones, here. At the same time, if we realize this at the time of reckoning, we will not take anything with us to the afterlife, since we leave it as naked as we came into the world, so giving can come to the fore and is coupled with a truly liberating feeling.

The paradigm of Christianity: what you give is what you really get. Let us never forget, Jesus gave his life for us!

We experience loss. You can rebel against it, but letting it go can also be a way. No one ever said that we can avoid difficulties. Let's ask for strength to get through it! And we'll get it, I'm sure. God gives us strength to trust him and be faithful to him. Because if he is with us, we have everything.

It is a human thing to seek God when there is a problem. As long as there are no problems, the cart is rolling, we easily forget about it. We can shout at him, but of course, there are many who don't. A crisis is by no means a desirable event, but it is part of life.

God can write straight even with crooked lines and bring good out of even the greatest evil.

The already traditional St. Martin's Day charity goose dinner in Szentkút on November 12 will not be missed this year either.

Our guests will be Father Jónás Bán and two of his colleagues from Nagyszőlős in Transcarpathia, who will report on their situation. You can still apply, and with the amount raised, we will support the Transcarpathian Franciscan mission in alleviating the problems caused by the war.
