The Szentséges Udvözítő church in Nagykapornak, which was blessed by Archbishop György Udvardy of Veszprém, was renovated. The choirs of the Búcsúszentlászló and Nagykapornak churches and the ZalaBrass wind ensemble participated in the solemn mass.

Parish priest Tódor Szabolcs said that the government supported the investment with HUF 15 million. The municipality and the parish also contributed to the costs of the construction, and local entrepreneurs and the faithful helped with donations and manual labor. The listed building was renewed during the external reconstruction worth a total of HUF 30 million. The two towers were put in order, the stairs and the sewer system were replaced. Thanks to the former mayor of the village of Zala, a new clock mechanism was installed in the tower, it is written on the website of the archdiocese of Veszprém.

At the ceremony, Miklós Soltész, the State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Office responsible for church and ethnic relations, said:

In the construction and renovation of churches, community centers, schools and kindergartens, the main aspect is that the community is preserved and strengthened.

He also highlighted:

 In Hungary and throughout the Carpathian basin, more than 3,000 churches have been renovated together with the churches and the faithful in the last ten years.

The head pastor of Veszprém emphasized:

Recently, 80 churches and community centers were renovated in the Archdiocese of Veszprém with an expenditure of about HUF 1.1 billion. It expresses the will to live and hope for the future for all of us.

After the blessing of the building, György Udvardy presented a thanksgiving mass.

He emphasized that it is important to strengthen each other from Sunday to Sunday, to strengthen our faith in the resurrection. We are the ones who have received life from the God of life and it does not pass away, it goes beyond the limits of our earthly life.
