The Lincoln Project is a political action committee (PAC) founded in 2019 by former and current Republicans. Despite his value position, his primary goal was to thwart the re-election of former Republican President Donald Trump and other Republican politicians in the United States Senate, and in April 2020, he supported the campaign of the current Democratic US President Joe Biden with several million dollars.
According to the United States tax code, the tax-exempt organization raised more than two and a half million dollars in the first three months of 2020, and $16.8 million from April to June 2020, which it clearly used against the Republican Party and its candidates, as well as for the current US president .
In order to achieve this goal, the Senate Majority PAC supported by György Soros also contributed 550 thousand dollars (approx. HUF 170 million). Among the supporters are many well-known businessmen - such as DreamWorks founder David Geffen, billionaire investor Stephen Mandel or LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman - who previously supported the Democratic side. This organization's anti-republican and democratic leanings peaked this year when Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán managed to confuse his speech at CPAC - the annual summer conference of the American Conservative Union - with a part of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler's speech. Despite the fact that the organization is burdened by further scandals, it still does not reach the stimulus threshold represented by the all-inclusive, left-liberal general public.
