Once again, our fleeting life approaches the eternal miracle, the unparalleled series of events of God's incarnation in Jesus Christ. The deeper the earthly shadows, the manipulations of today's Herods who are ready to do anything to protect and preserve their power, their wars, the spreading waves of suffering caused by drought, hunger and lack of water, or the "diplomacy" of ostentation, the more clearly shines the heavenly-earthly redemption in the fullness of time, the series of miracles in the promised land.

These lines begin the article that appeared on the Felvidék.hu portal on the first day of Advent, from which we share some thoughts.

All the series of miracles that took place for our benefit, for us, in our stead, and in time before us out of the merciful mercy of our heavenly Father, really do not have an earthly beginning and input, just as their output, output, and end are not earthly either. The majestic prologue of the Gospel of John, the introduction to the miracle stories, puts it this way, referring back again to the beginning of genesis in order to emphasize the uniqueness of the events: "in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1). With John, "in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" (John 1:1). Later we read: "The Word became flesh, dwelt among us, and we saw his glory" (John 1:14). At the beginning of the cosmos, God is present with His Spirit, at the secret beginning of the salvation of the corrupted human world that has fallen into disobedience, the Word is present with God, in God. The entire miracle of salvation history began in God, as the mystery of the Holy Trinity that cannot be deciphered by human reason. Then it continued with the Holy Spirit falling on Mary, "the power of the Most High will overshadow you...you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son" (Luk 1,33; 31). The miracles and events continue, and the great encounter takes place, Mary goes to Elizabeth, and not only do two mothers meet there in the mountains, in a city of Judah (Luke 1:39), but the fetus-God, the Savior-Yehoshua growing in Mary's body takes place and the special meeting of the fetus-prophet, John the Baptist growing in Elizabeth's body, before their birth. The meeting of God and man, in which the fetus-man, human-fetus, and the person who has not yet reached the age of humanity can become a HUMAN. That is why John the Baptist "moved for joy" already in the womb (Luke 1:44). This jubilant attunement of John the Baptist living in the womb to the Lord growing in the womb is one of the greatest miracles of the genesis of incarnation. This is the only worthy spiritual approach to the Savior who came to earth in the body of Mary not only then, but also today this jubilant, enthusiastic upliftment, Attunement is the true holiday-making mental state.

Earthly existence and personal life ennobled by the presence of God

Only with this attunement, re-attunement and Attunedness will Advent really become Advent, Christmas become Christmas, and Christianity become Christianity. This upliftment: earthly existence and personal existence elevated by closeness to God. There is prayer in jubilation, there is adoration, the only worship worthy of us that ennobles man as man: worship of God. God-Child worship. Our human destiny is filled with heavenly culture in all that rises and rises. I wish that on every day of Advent that admiration, jubilation, praise, benedictus, benedicta, magnificat, halo of admiration state of mind will grow in us, without which we will not be able to truly celebrate, rising above the Herodian, schismatic world of today. What is impossible with humans is possible with God!

A miraculously blessed Advent to all Hungarians in the motherland and all over the world!
