Csaba Dömötör, the parliamentary state secretary of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office, posted on Facebook from near the Röszke border.

Seven years is a long time, and for many people this debate about migration may already be tiring, but the fact is that the pressure on our borders is not easing, but increasing, said Csaba Dömötör. He recalled that, according to police statistics, 252,000 illegal border crossing attempts took place this year alone. Moreover, there are more and more violent actions.

The State Secretary reminded that

a few days ago, Iraqi human traffickers shot at Hungarian police officers on the M5 highway.

There was also an example of people smugglers trying to hit a Hungarian police officer, which was luckily avoided.

The state secretary also informed that the situation is not quieter on the other side of the border either, because it recently happened there that groups of migrants fell on each other, and this resulted in a fatality. This also shows that

this border closure is under not only political, not only legal, but also physical attack.

That is why we insist that Hungary continue to protect its borders - Csaba Dömötör, Parliamentary State Secretary of the Prime Minister's Cabinet Office, concluded his press release from the Röszke border.
