Our national team was able to finish in the lead on both competition days and finally defended its world championship title with 18 points ahead of the German national team with 28 points and the Czech national team with 33 points.

Regarding the great result, the Hungarian National Fishing Association issued the following announcement:

"This year, the II. Free Style Method Feeder World Championship which ended on Sunday 4th December. The Hungarian team, which won the historic championship title at the first domestically organized world championship in Maconká last September, including the then individual world champion and individual silver medalists, arrived from the winter to the summer with the burden of opportunity in addition to their baggage.

If we talk about success and chances, then you should know that the method feeder technique, which is typically aimed at catching large fish, is the most popular competitive fishing sport, so the last Hungarian national championship took place with more than 400 entrants. In the last 7 years, the domestic field has strengthened so much that even being included in the national team traveling to the World Cup is a great achievement and at the same time an extremely great honor.

Fortunately, our national team was able to bear the burden of the odds, so it was able to finish in the lead on both competition days, and finally defended its world championship title with 18 points ahead of the German national team with 28 points and the Czech national team with 33 points.

Outstanding successes can also be reported in the individual competition. Péter Bakó - the individual gold medalist of last year's world championship - won the new individual world championship title with flawless fishing and the lowest possible score of two points. Another Hungarian competitor was able to stand on the podium: Bence Szabó, like last year, also scored 3 points and won an individual silver medal again.

Members of the national team: captain Csaba Polyák, second captain Gábor Döme, team leader Gábor Sipos; Péter Bakó, Norbert Bodzsár, Péter Kiss, János Novák, Bence Szabó competitors; Áron Balog, Kristóf Raffer, József Sisa, Dániel Ujszászi, Péter Takács and Márk Vincze are assistants.

The Hungarian fishing sport ended this year's highly successful and thus memorable competition season with this excellent result. The dignified celebration begins upon arrival home and will end next year at the annual national sports gala. In the meantime, this result is another great gift under the joint Christmas tree of Hungarian sport and Hungarian fishing!

MOHOSZ would also like to thank the partner ministries (AM, HM), organizations and companies of the national and the Hungarian Team's professional association sports support system for their support, as well as the help of all sports leaders, sports organizers, professional staff and fellow anglers who contributed to the team's preparation. "We heartily congratulate all team members on this new historic achievement!"
