Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a press conference in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, that Russia will "wipe off the face of the earth" any country that attacks it with nuclear weapons, Sky News shared.
Russia does not have the authority to conduct a pre-emptive nuclear first strike,
but Moscow's advanced hypersonic weapons guarantee that it will be able to give a strong response if it is ever attacked, the Russian president said. He also confirmed that there is no need for Russia to mobilize additional reserves to Ukraine.
