The Momentum Movement can count on fewer and fewer local government representatives in the districts of Buda. After the municipal elections, in 2019, the I., XI. and XXII. in the district as well, but today they have weakened considerably in their former bases.

Momentum's positions in the Buda districts have weakened significantly. Last summer, according to press information, the Momentos wanted to squeeze another agreement within the opposition, according to which their candidates could run for mayor in all Buda districts with the support of six left-wing parties in 2024.

For now, however, this seems like a wishful dream, it would be a minor miracle if the entire left supported their candidate in even one of the six Buda districts.

The weakening was significantly contributed to by the fact that the seats of the momentary municipal representatives won in 2019 - after they themselves left for the parliament - were again won by the candidates of the Fidesz-KDNP. This happened in the 1st district, where Ferenc Gelencsér entered the parliament from the district deputy mayor's list, and in the 11th district. district, where Anna Orosz was elected as an individual parliamentarian, as well as the XXII. also in the district, where Endre Tóth won an individual mandate. Fidesz-KDNP candidates won without exception in the by-elections held in the individual municipal districts of the three important politicians: Csilla Fazekas, István Jankó and Krisztina Krieger.

It is no coincidence that the district opposition also wants to take advantage of Momentum's weakening. In the 1st district, their former three-member representative group has shrunk to two members for the first time, but on the party's website, only one municipal representative is listed, who is a member of the local basic organization. According to our information, this could just be an administrative error, but the absent temporary representative previously submitted a proposal together with Fidesz-KDNP and representatives of the other left-wing parties against the dialogue mayor Márta V. Naszályi.

The XI. district, at the meeting of the representative body at the end of last year, there were only three momentary representatives in the 25-member body, and although one of their politicians was officially absent due to illness, the Újbuda faction, with its four members, is still smaller than the local DK and the local MSZP Dialogue Faction. However, until the separation of Anna Orosz, it was the strongest representative group in the district at the time.

The XXII. in the district, there is only one momentary representative left in the 17-person board. According to our newspaper's information, Gábor Kerekes was intended by his party to be a common left-wing mayoral candidate, but due to the weakening of Momentum, this will probably be vetoed by the local DK. There is no trace of Momentum, and the XII. nor in the district, where their candidate, Miklós Hajnal, became the individual member of parliament in 2022, but only one list representative is still sitting in the municipality. The II. district, they have three representatives in the twenty-member board, the neighboring III. and in the district, the 22-person board has four temporary seats.
