As we reported , the prime minister of Hungary, Viktor Orbán, who holds the consecutive presidency of the V4, held a meeting with the Czech, Polish and Slovak prime ministers in Budapest on Tuesday.

According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, Europe is threatened from three directions. One comes from the south, where there is a constant influx of migrants, and NGOs are constantly transporting immigrants by sea. The second threat is the Western Balkan route, according to the Prime Minister, Hungarian border guards have stopped a hundred thousand migrants this year. Viktor Orbán emphasized: Hungary owes a debt of gratitude to Andrej Babis, because the Czech Republic sent border guards to the Hungarian border. According to him, this route is the route for people fleeing Afghanistan, which means that up to 30,000 to 35,000 people may arrive on this route every day.

The third main migration threat concerns Poland, in connection with which the Prime Minister stated: the V4 assured Poland of their full solidarity.

"Brussels is pursuing a flawed policy. It finances everything that increases migration pressure”

- said Viktor Orbán, citing as an example that Brussels supports NGOs and integration programs. The Prime Minister emphasized: the Hungarian position is that Brussels should support the protection of the borders.

It cannot be that only those countries bear the financial burden of this, which geography and history have assigned to the outer border of the European Union," he said.

According to Viktor Orbán, it would be correct if the EU covered half of the costs of border protection, since the Hungarian border fence protects not only Hungary, but also the whole of Europe.
