Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his wife Anikó Lévai took part in Saturday's gala evening in Bratislava on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of independent Slovakia, Bertalan Havasi, head of the Prime Minister's Press Office, informed MTI.

Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger invited all three of his V4 Prime Minister colleagues and their spouses to the event, which was held in the building of the Slovak National Theatre. Zuzana Caputová, President of the Slovak Republic, Boris Kollár, Parliament Speaker, and Petr Fiala, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, also spoke at the ceremony.

In this regard, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán shared a post on his Facebook page, where he draws attention to the interdependence and common goals of the two countries. He writes:

After the fall of communism in 1993, Czechoslovakia broke up and was replaced by independent Slovakia and the Czech Republic, which are now our allies. Thirty years ago, the way to V4 cooperation based on interdependence and mutual respect was opened. Let's take care of him!
