Balázs Orbán, the prime minister's political director, shared the survey on his social media page, according to which the population still pays the least for energy in Budapest among European capitals. Of course, all this is not the merit of Gergely Karácsony, before he brings it up!
According to the graph shared by the politician, Brussels, which introduced the sanctions, is the place where people pay the most for electricity, while Stockholm has to pay the most for natural gas.
Great news to kick off the year: In December, Hungary again had the lowest energy prices in the EU!
The average price of electricity & natural gas paid by residential consumers in Budapest is the lowest among the EU capitals surveyed.
We'll work to preserve this trend in 2023! pic.twitter.com/X7AK2H942F

In his post, Balázs Orbán also highlighted that the government will continue to work in 2023 to ensure that Hungary continues to pay the least for energy.
