The Supreme Council will soon be able to vote in first reading on the bill that enables the alienation of privately owned land without a court decision or the owner's consent, reports Kárpáti Igaz Szó.

This norm will be in force during the martial law and for another 10 years after its end, reports TODAY.UA.

The draft law does not apply to all privately owned land, but only to those plots designated for the construction of critical infrastructure facilities. In other words, if the experts decide that a pipeline should be laid on a given piece of land, or a solar power plant should be built there, or another critical infrastructure facility should be placed there, it will be confiscated from the owner and its user.

According to the draft law, the Cabinet of Ministers decides on the acquisition of land for the construction or reconstruction of a critical infrastructure object based on the request of the authority responsible for the relevant critical infrastructure sector.

So a court ruling on the alienation of these lands;
consent of landowners, land users, local self-government bodies; they decide without compensation for forest production losses and losses of land users. At the same time, the owner of the expropriated land section is entitled to full monetary compensation for the land and the properties located on it.

At the same time, we can be sure that the lands in American and Western European hands will not be affected, so of course the EU will not raise objections. Especially not that Western countries set a "good example", since, as is well known, under the protection of democracy, the rule of law and private property, many Russian bank deposits were frozen, and their yachts and other properties were confiscated.
