According to M1, the drug test showed the presence of drugs in the body of the suspect in the Újbuda police murder. 

The drug test carried out after the arrest and the expert opinion based on it made it clear that the man had consumed drugs.

The National Police Headquarters (ORFK) announced on Tuesday: Budapest's police chief has completed the investigation into the legality of the use of weapons and the use of coercive tools.

"The investigation established that both the use of firearms and the use and application of other coercive tools used by my colleagues were legal and professional, and also met the requirements of proportionality," said Kristóf Gál, spokesperson for the ORFK .

The command's investigation also established that the amount of police force sent to the scene was in accordance with the information available at the time, and the training and equipment of the patrols was also appropriate. What happened in the stairwell, as a result of which 29-year-old Staff Sergeant Péter Baumann lost his life, is being investigated by the prosecutor's office in the framework of criminal proceedings.

The deceased policeman will be laid to rest on January 26, in the Mátészalka public cemetery, with military honors among his family.
