The XVIII. At its extraordinary meeting on Tuesday, the representative body of the district municipality rejected the possibility that Mayor Sándor Sándor Szaniszló's responsibility will be investigated during a disciplinary procedure in connection with the fact that, despite the invitation, he did not go to consult with the government about the energy compensation, and thus could have caused hundreds of millions of damage to the district, writes Zsolt Sütő-Nagy in the Magyar In a newspaper.

The left-wing majority was not even willing to discuss the proposal of the faction leaders of Fidesz and KDNP, Kálmán Tóth and Attila Szarvas, that they deal with Mayor Sándor Sándor Szaniszló's incomprehensible procedure, which caused hundreds of millions of damage to the district, within the framework of a disciplinary investigation.

As is known, in January Zsolt Láng, the government commissioner responsible for the complex development of the economic development zone in Central Hungary, announced that settlements with over ten thousand inhabitants and the capital districts will receive HUF 44 billion in government support for their utility costs. The government provides the support to maintain basic public services in the economic situation caused by the war in Ukraine and Brussels sanctions. Five mayors of SE Budapest, the III., the IV., the XI., the XV. and the XVIII. However, the head of the district and the head of Ferencváros stayed away from the consultation, so their neighborhoods lost significant sums.

For this reason, the leaders of the ruling party in the affected districts initiated the investigations against the mayors.

Yesterday the XVIII. an extraordinary board meeting was called in the district, but the left-wing representatives even rejected the possibility of discussing the matter. The most interesting moment of the decision-making was when the mayor who was elected as a member of the MSZP involved in the investigation, but has since been confirmed in the DK, also voted in his own defense. There was no justification for the proceedings of Sándor Szaniszló, who gained national fame in 2010 as a result of the Pestszentlőrinc coup case, he could have abstained because of his involvement, since the left-wing majority could have rejected the initiative even without his vote.
