In the 26th minute, the referee had to call off the match between Sepsi OSK Sepsizentgyörgyi and FCU Craiova 1948 in the 23rd round of the Romanian top flight, as the visiting fans did not stop shouting anti-Hungarian chants even after several warnings. According to the mayor of Sepsiszentgyörgy, Árpád Antal, it is intolerable and unacceptable how extreme fans make fun of sports.

The match in Sepsiszentgyörgy was first interrupted in the 23rd minute with the score 0-0 by the referee Andrei Chivulete due to the anti-Hungarian shouts of the Craiova fans, and then, despite repeated warnings from the public address system, they did not stop their repulsive behavior.

The players of the two teams then entered the dressing room, and the match resumed after a ten-minute forced break, but similar manifestations did not stop even after the restart, so the match was finally called off in the 26th minute, which had never happened before in the Romanian league. A top-flight match has already been interrupted due to a scandal in the stands, in 2008 the Rapid-Steaua match was called off due to the referee being thrown, but this is the first time this has happened in Romania due to hateful shouting.

Árpád Antal, mayor of Sepsiszentgyörgy, shared the following video about the outrageous behavior of the Craiova fans:

- It is intolerable and unacceptable how extremist fans make a mockery of football and sports with their unqualified Hungarian-hating behavior. At the same time, today they finally made the right decision for the first time, which I think is a very important and good decision: the referee stopped the match because of the anti-Hungarian expressions - added Árpád Antal.

The case will be decided by the disciplinary committee of the Romanian Football Association based on the report prepared by the referee and the match observer, Octavian Goga. Most likely, Sepsi OSK will win the match 3-0 at the green table. Until then, Cristiano Bergodi, Sepsi's head coach, led his players in training instead of matches.

For years, the ultras of the Craiova team have been among the most sinister camps in Romania, constantly threatening their own players and leaders. It is now spreading in Romania that they deliberately provoked the blowing of the match and the harsh punishment awaiting their club, because they wanted to harm the unpopular owner of their team, Adrian Mititelu.
