The police tried with great strength to prevent the participants of the event announced for the day of the eruption and the antifa who, according to the news, came to Budapest from Germany specifically for the events organized for the 78th anniversary of the eruption on February 11, 1945, to meet at the Buda Castle.

The Budapest Police Headquarters announced a few days ago that it took note of three of the six meetings announced for Saturday, February 11, in the Buda Castle area, but banned three on the grounds that "the location of the meeting is a historical monument of national importance, and the date is such a day , which reminds us of the victims of the inhumane crimes committed under the rule of the National Socialist dictatorship".

Despite the ban, according to reports, a large crowd gathered at Buda Castle on Saturday afternoon, but the police deployed large forces and did not allow those who arrived on the day of the outbreak to go to Bécsi kapu square, where, according to the news, members of the antifa movement from Germany had gathered . However, according to the information from the scene, the participants on the day of the eruption tried to reach the castle site on the stairs leading to the Buda Castle, but the police tried everywhere to prevent the meeting of the two opposing camps.

At the same time, several news articles appeared in the press about the fact that the members of the Eruption Day and the Antifa had previously clashed in different parts of the capital.

In an incident in Újbuda on Friday, it was suggested that such a confrontation might have taken place: a gang armed with vipers and wearing ski masks attacked a man in his 40s in the XI. district on Friday afternoon. According to assumptions, the perpetrators may have been German antifa.

Mandiner also asked the police about what happened on Saturday afternoon, but the Communications Department of the Budapest Police Headquarters (BRFK) still only said: "In this case, an investigation is currently underway against unknown perpetrators due to the suspicion of armed, group rioting." The BRFK is investigating all the circumstances of the case. We are unable to provide more information about the ongoing procedure".

According to the Mandiner information, there was a clash between the two camps not only on Gazdagrét, but also at Normafa on Saturday, and according to Magyar Jelen, which reported on the day of the outbreak, a similar incident also happened on Széll Kálmán tér.

Civilians Info: At the end of the Second World War, on February 11, 1945, tens of thousands of German and Hungarian soldiers tried to break out of Buda Castle, but their attempt failed. However, while Vienna fell in two days, they held out against two armies for 102 days. In addition to slaughtering at least 20,000 people, the Soviets took cruel revenge on the wounded and prisoners, the hospital nurses, and then helped keep the communist dictatorship in power in our country (also) for nearly 50 years. We don't need German imports of anti-fascists, who spread liberal ideas with vipers. Remembering the deliberate slaughter of the many soldiers and civilians locked in cauldrons should be a silent main drive. And the violent antifas and nazis should go to hell.
