Today, the left-wing majority of the European Parliament (EP) voted in favor of the Commission's proposal to ban the sale of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with internal combustion engines in the EU from 2035. According to Fidesz EP representative Edina Tóth, Brussels' new regulations will further raise the price of new cars, while people's wallets will become thinner due to war and sanctions inflation.

According to Edina Tóth, the available time is extremely short, knowing that there is currently neither an adequate charging infrastructure nor a viable demand for the use of exclusively non-internal combustion engine cars, which is why the average age of vehicles will continue to increase.

Until now, we trusted in common sense that in the middle of the war situation and the sanctions crisis, the left-wing majority of the EP would not want to "execute" internal combustion engines in any case, but it did not happen that way. "While the European right-wing, which opposes complete phase-out, presented an environmentally friendly solution and put thoughtful proposals on the table through the use of synthetic fuels, the left, in its ideological blindness, enthusiastically supported thoughtless rules that destroy the competitiveness of the Union and make people's lives seriously difficult," added the Fidesz politician. .

"In a crisis environment, this decision is a serious step in the wrong direction! Instead of technological bans, we have to think about alternative options, and that's why we will continue to fight!" Edina Tóth concluded her speech.

Civilians Info: Good, no petrol cars, at most old ones, or diesel tractors, at most ones that can take off in case of war. But should there be petrol tanks, diesel-powered amphibians, kerosene-powered fighter planes, and nice Brussels bureaucrats? Or will these also run on batteries? Very good! Such factories are just now being built in Hungary. Yes, but we don't need them because they pollute the environment. "Now tell me, you bigots, what should happen?" Apart from the fact that 60 left-wing politicians are already suspected of corruption, several are already in prison, so apart from stealing, what is your purpose? No gasoline, no diesel, no batteries, ok, but then there would also be no energy to be able to raise your hands with a glass of cool mineral water while masses of Europeans perish in the hot cauldron of war.

They should have petrol, diesel, batteries! And if I have already quoted your favorite left-wing poet Erdős Virág, then I would continue, decide "who should not be among us tomorrow and who should be?"

I can't wait for Brussels to ban weather, earthquakes and sea waves!
