According to the final court decision, the Democratic Coalition as the plaintiff is obliged to pay the full legal costs.

The Gyurcsány party legally lost seven lawsuits against the public media, the press and marketing office of the Media Service Support and Asset Management Fund (MTVA) told MTI on Thursday, also emphasizing that the Court made a precedent-setting ruling. According to the announcement, the Democratic Coalition has legally lost all of its lawsuits against the public media, which it initiated against the press release practice of the MTI Országos Sajtószolgált (OS).

They added that the DK tried to exert pressure on the operation of the independent MTI in a way reminiscent of the days of the party state.

They will be forced to abandon the practice, because with its decision the Court confirmed that the National Press Service has the right to refuse to issue any announcement that it can be assumed could be suitable for violating the privacy rights of another person, and it also stated that MTI is entitled to editorial freedom - they wrote.

The MTVA reported that in its verdict concluding the review procedure with the participation of the five-member judicial council, the Court stated: the National Press Service rightly refused to release the announcements of the Democratic Coalition. According to the court's decision, it does not follow from the provisions of the Act on Media Services and Mass Communication regarding the national news agency that anyone has the right to demand the publication of a specific announcement as part of the OS service, they wrote.
