Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis also spoke out after Donald Trump was indicted on hush money charges in New York on Thursday local time.

"Using the legal system as a weapon to advance a political agenda turns the rule of law on its head," Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is a potential Republican candidate for the 2024 election, wrote on his social media page.

He added that this was an "un-American" act, as "the Soros-backed Manhattan district attorney has consistently twisted the law" that he is now using against a political opponent.

Ron DeSantis has made it clear that Florida will not extradite Donald Trump.
