On April 22, 2023, Dr. István Bajkai, founding member of Fidesz and member of parliament, gave his soul back to his creator. His absence is an unfathomable, indescribable loss for both his family and the community. God rest her soul!

Máté Kocsis announced the tragic news

"A comrade has passed away. An old, good comrade, someone who lived for his work even during his long illness. We will never forget, Pista. May God rest in peace!"

István Bajkai, one of the founding members of Fidesz, was born on January 17, 1964 in Budapest. He graduated from Eötvös Loránd University's Faculty of Political Science and Law in 1989. In 1992, he became a member of the Budapest Bar Association. Between 1995 and 1997, he studied international commercial law at the Legal Continuing Education Institute of ELTE.

Between 2000 and 2010, he was a registered copyright expert at the National Office of Intellectual Property, and until 2018 he was a responsible accredited public procurement consultant.

In 2017, he was elected vice-president of the Golden Team Board, in 2018-2019 he was acting financial commissioner of the Hungarian Boxing Association (MÖSZ), and from September 2019 to January 2023, he was the president of the association. In addition, he was also a member of the Hungarian Trademark Association and the Hungarian Industrial and Copyright Protection Association.

Fidesz considers István Bajkai as its own dead and shares the pain of the family.
