Although a Ukrainian band won last time, due to the war, the final of the Eurovision Song Contest cannot be held in Ukraine this year, so the city of Liverpool will host the event. Volodymyr Zelenskyi was preparing for a serious war speech again this year and would have shared his thoughts in a video message, but the European Broadcasting Union said that strict rules prevented the Ukrainian leader from speaking.

Thus, Zelenskyi cannot give his war speech in front of tens of millions at one of the biggest events of the LGBTQ lobby, from which he is not at all far from, considering his previous programs, Magyar Nemzet reports .

This is not the first time that show business says no to the Ukrainian president, and his video message is banned from a large-scale event. This year, for the second year in a row, he was unable to give a speech at the Academy Awards, the annual awards ceremony of the American Film Academy. And last September, Zelenskyi's team approached the Toronto Film Festival to show it via the leading satellite link, but they ran into walls there as well.
