László Donáth, former MSZP's father-in-law, must pay one million forints due to continuous indecent assault and physical assault, according to Monday's court ruling.
First of all, II. and III. The District Court found László Donáth guilty of defamation, and he had to pay a fine of HUF six hundred thousand. The Metropolitan Court of Appeal annulled the decision and ordered the court to repeat the procedure.

If this is not fulfilled, he will have to serve 400 days in prison and pay 680,000 forints in criminal costs according to the decision of judge Kristóf Csépány, the Index reports.
The prosecution asked for three days to think. László Donáth's lawyer, Péter Bárándy, appealed against the decision, so the verdict is not final.
Back in February 2021, the criminal trial in which Anna Donáth's father, László Donáth, a current member of the European Parliament, was accused of light bodily harm, dishonor and indecent assault, was launched in the first instance.
He abused his leadership position
According to the indictment, the accused, abusing his leadership position and position of power, started in May 2017 by touching the victim - who worked as a cleaner in the church-run institution in Czillaghegy - all over her body against her will, and made sexual offers to her. The victim refused the accused's approach, but did not report what had happened, except for the last case, to his superior at work.
He also squeezed her neck
According to the indictment, the victim left the cleaning tool storage cart in front of a painting on another occasion, even though the defendant had previously forbidden him to do so. The defendant held him responsible for this, threatened him, grabbed him and squeezed his neck. The woman's injury, which heals within eight days, is confirmed by sight.
The Budapest II. and III. With its first-instance verdict announced on October 4, 2021, the District Court found the defendant guilty of defamation and sentenced him to a fine of HUF 600,000. He terminated the criminal proceedings against him for the offense of indecent assault.
On September 14, 2022, the Metropolitan Court annulled the first-instance decision and ordered the court to conduct a new procedure.
At Monday's hearing, the prosecutor asked the court to declare him guilty of light bodily harm and persistent indecent assault. He added that the pastor should receive a suspended prison sentence in the sentence and also pay the criminal costs.
Due to the right of the last word, László Donáth did not speak separately, he joined the defense speech of his lawyer, Péter Bárándy.
