Eva Kaili actually returned: the former vice-president of the EP voted at the plenary session of the EU legislature in Strasbourg on July 11, 2023.
On April 14, Kaili, who was previously in pre-trial detention, was placed under house arrest in the Belgian capital from the Haren prison in Brussels.
and later he was also allowed to exercise his powers as an EP representative.
Rumors have already spread around the Greek socialist representative accused of corruption that he is planning to return to the EP as a victim, and he has positioned himself in his press statements as the victim of a conspiracy and an unjust court system.
Thick skin: Eva Kaili wants her job back in the European Parliament!
Among other things, he claims that he was entrapped because he was a member of the EP's subcommittee investigating spyware, and in other statements he talked about the discriminatory nature of the Belgian legal system or the intolerability of prison conditions.
There was a similar case at the beginning of June, when Marc Tarabella, the MEP who was arrested for corruption, said that corruption made our country unfit for the consecutive presidency.
There, too, it happened that the representative was put under house arrest after the prison, from there he returned to the EP, and then gave a moral judgment about Hungary.
