New winds are blowing around the Soros family, one of the concrete consequences of which may be that the Open Society Foundations will essentially cease their activities in the EU states.

Last Friday, all organizations in Hungary that receive support from the Open Society Foundations (OSF) founded by György Soros received a letter.

The information was distributed by the foundation's staff in order to inform the partner organizations in Hungary about the recent decision of the OSF board of directors, according to which the organization will essentially terminate its activities in the European Union and transfer its resources to other parts of the world, Szabad Europa learned.

The summary of the board's decision was also quoted in the letter. According to this, the management of the OSF "decided on a radical strategic change of direction" in order for the organization's resources to achieve the greatest possible impact.

Thus, a decision was made that most of OSF's activities within the European Union will cease, and the funds previously allocated to Europe will be spent in other parts of the world.

From now on, "resources that can be concentrated within Europe will be extremely limited," the notice underlined.

The decision is justified by the fact that EU institutions and governments spend significant sums on the topics of human rights, freedom and diversity, and these are precisely the areas where OSF is also active. In the future, Europe will only be focused on "in the context of its role in major global issues". At the same time, the organizational structure of the OSF will also be transformed, already in 2024, the letter reads.

Based on the letter, even within the OSF, they know little about the details, such as the timetable for withdrawal or what will happen in EU countries where it is not true that EU institutions and governments spend significant amounts of money on human rights or diversity. topics - wrote Szabad Europa.
